A place where AYCE where sashimi is included.
DO:
Order sashimis, nigiris and the basic rolls. You know, the spicy tuna, salmon, salmon skin, natto, etc.
I'm impressed that sashimi comes out fresh and not fishy at all.
DO NOT:
Order rolls cause it gets so filling that you won't get to taste all the other things in the menu.
PRO TIP:
Order rolls if you are with 3 other people. Cause you know, sharing is caring.
I'm really sad that this area got bought out and this business will be eventually be ushered out. Only time will tell. -

The food was amazing, the sushi was all fresh and tasted great! They had a wide variety of choices for the unlimited menu, and everything we chose was good. I've been to a lot of sushi places but this one definitely has great quality food.
What wasn't so great quality was the service unfortunately. It took a while before someone came to take our order, and to do that i basically had to shove the paper in a waiters hand. After that there was really no issue until it came time for the bill (which i has to ask for 3 times because the server didn't understand what i was saying).
Anyway i put my card down to cover the bill and patiently wait for them to give me my receipt which they do BUT THEY DONT GIVE ME BACK MY CARD. At this point I'm panicking looking for my card when i heard servers talking behind me, i turn around to find my card on the floor and both waiters pointing and talking about it. So i say loudly THATS MINE, they both look at me and shrug as if the fact that they dropped my card is somehow my fault. Begrudgingly a waiter picks it up and hands it to me , no apologies or anything and just walks away. Like damn okay.
They get three stars for the food but lose 2 for service. -

Chinese (#1) owned and operated sushi joints should be no surprise to the average sushi goer, especially for anything in the "all you can eat" variety. Keep the expectations on the lower end and this place is good for budget sushi in bulk. People are coming for the deal and to get their fill of sushi and nothing more. Omakase nerds, stay away.
Let's get one thing out of the way, the quality of the sushi is pretty subpar. Sashimi is probably best avoided, despite the obvious omitting of rice. The fishiness of some of the raw stuff is enough to get minds wandering and stomachs cramping, which is the kind of psychological eating experience no one wants. Every order from the menu is one piece only, so this way they can manage food portions without subjecting their patrons to "wasting" the food. I'm actually more disappointed their menu is so limited to things like white tuna (fake fish) or peanut avocado rolls. All this for $26 a person? Meh.
The ambiance is probably the most appealing thing about the establishment. It feels modern with super industrial looking high ceilings and even a contemporary vibe with its minimalist decor and interesting looking bar. They have an alcohol license it seems by all the booze they're sporting and some limited counter space to watch the chefs do their thing.
Their saving grace may lie in the presentation of the food. Again, it's not fancy, but it's enough to get people interested. Service isn't award winning either and dining in will almost always be a better experience than their shoddy delivery. Come but don't come running for this sushi.

Sushi tastes fresh & good... but we just ordered from here on Seamless: 4 rolls (30 pcs of sushi) and we were given one tiny container of soy sauce..... REALLY???
Not cool SushiX. Don't be so cheap with your paying customers and at least provide 1 tiny container of soy sauce for every sushi roll ordered.
I guess my guests and I now have to double-dip & ration this tiny container of soy sauce over 30 pcs.
Word of advice - REQUEST "EXTRA" SOY SAUCE WITH EACH SUSHI ROLL ORDER BECAUSE SUSHIX IS CHEAP WITH THEIR SOY SAUCE. GOOD LUCK!!! -

Still don't understand why this place isn't ranked with at least 4 stars! My friends and I love this place and try to come every few weeks. Last night we went and again, the food was awesome!
Don't get me wrong, I have had a just okay meal here before, but more times then usual, I have had some of the best meals ever. The fish is very good quality for an AYCE and is sometimes even comparable to places I've paid high premiums for. Kitchen food has defiantly improved a lot and sushi cuts seems to get better and better every time. The best kitchen item has to be the Braised Short Rib (and it's usually cooked perfectly) and at the Sushi Bar, the Salmon and Tuna (cuts are so good that they melt in your mouth).
Again, the drinks are great and the service is good! Wait staff is always very friendly and fairly attentive, even when you decide to have a meal just before closing. Recently we did decide to try a few other sushi places in Sunnyside and none compared to Sushi X, in quality and in price. As I say in my first review, if you are in a hurry, don't come here. But if you are willing to wait and have a great meal at a great price, come on in!
